Yeah, that whole thing always bothered me, I would have sworn that they would have some kind of rendezvous plan in place.

Of course that then limits potential "drama" for the writers.....

Their emergency plan was to get on the bus and drive away. They unfortunately didn't predict... TANK

I am willing to speculate that if Terminus is a problem place, the real issue is the tracks. The only place you see signs to Terminus is on RR tracks. No signs on the highway. What? No roads go to Terminus? I'm guessing they (whoever "They" are) are using the railroad tracks as an effecient way to funnel people to do them harm, use them as food, steal any provisions and weapons. If I were headed to Terminus, it wouldn't be on a RR Track.

I don't think Terminus will be a bad place, we already see Daryl and Glenn patrolling together in a car...

Terminus isn't a real place that existed before the apocalypse. It just happens to be where all those tracks go. So "they" called it (the railhead or mile post zero) Terminus. And as been mentioned a bunch of times already was the original name for Atlanta. Though this fictional place is probably no where near Atlanta in the TWD world.

Incidentally I can't remember if Woodbury was a "real" place that was on road signs or was it just the name that the Gov decided to give his kingdom.

When did you see this? I don't remember seeing any previews with scenes from Terminus in them.

The Terminus may well be a railyard since tracks often terminate at them, but even railyards have roads running to them.
