Senior with modest income here. Okay, who's upscale? Nielsen isn't interested in anyone over 50 anyway, so wouldn't care even IF my income was "upscale". Nielsen sent us something to fill out earlier in the year...never heard back after I sent it in. And yet...I sometimes find new products I like or change my preferences, in spite of my age.

Several weeks ago it was fancy cars and evening gowns and a James Bond-esque spy story in Monte Carlo - and then tonight we get one character comforting a dying man, and another saving a orphaned girl. The trade at the very end - leaving the body of the man, to make room for the young girl - was heartbreaking.
Just a beautifully done show - and such a surprise - I had no idea I would be enjoying this show so much!

Agreed, I was tearing up a bit when she was leaving Henry in Haiti.
Not realistic at all, of course, but then again I don't watch TV because it's realistic lol.
Very dramatic...BUT I kept thinking...the idiot pilot endangered every single person on that plane...why? Sure, the man needed help, but just landing somewhere without a single clue what was waiting...no reputable pilot would do that, surely! If it had all gone wrong and people had died (possible every single person on board), the lawsuits would have been huge...and those suing would have won. I kept thinking...yeah, stupid, stupid, stupid! Kind of spoiled the show for me.

Like lisan23 said above, it wasn't at all realistic. When they were told the airport was closed, that should have been the end of that. But it's a TV show and a bit of fantasy isn't such a bad thing. And it gave them a chance to show the pilot making a daring escape - a big dramatic moment. If he had played it safe, and landed in another airport, there would have been no story.
This episode may have lacked verisimilitude, but that's okay with me! Even the frothy fun episodes haven't exactly been all that realistic.
It doesn't have to be real for me either. It's not a documentary. It's just TV. And I am enjoying it.
Bouncthelight, Thanks for using the word "verisimilitude." This goes to show TV can be educational. I learned a new word.
