"Low Winter Sun" is the newest show on AMC. It starts this Sunday - 8/11/13 - after the season premiere of "Breaking Bad".

It is about 2 Detroit cops who kill another cop. Where it goes from there, I don't know. We'll see.

Since all of the other shows on AMC are good, I'm hoping that this show will also be good.

I've been watching the clips on the AMC website...it looks good. Both of the lead actors are British - the white guy, Mark Strong, played the same character in the original British series. Also David Costabile, who was Gale in Breaking Bad (and several other great roles on The Wire, Damages, etc.) plays one of the detectives.

I like the two lead actors, and the previews look promising. I'll tune in for the first episode anyway.

Lennie James was in a show recently, a sci-fy show, whose name I don't remember.

Mark - The AMC shows are usually very good. We'll see if this one is good also.

Yay!! Loved him and was so sad when he got shot!! I'm really looking forward to the other actors you mention as well. Also, Lennie James...he had a small role (as in two episodes) in The Walking Dead. I've liked him in everything I've seen so far.

I also agree that AMC has put on some quality shows...I just don't think we'll be disappointed!

ShellNic - I remember Lennie James played in a Scy-fy show about a world that had been devestated by something and he was a survivalist - I believe.

Maybe someone remembers that show.

What could happen is that being after "Breaking Bad" it MIGHT be a letdown. I hope not but we'll see.

^^^ Yeah, I hope it doesn't turn out to be another Rubicon - anyone remember that show? The concept was cool - a conspiracy thriller - but it was reaaally slow (and I usually like slow-building shows). It only lasted one season.

Jericho was the series Lennie James was in. He also played a great part in The Walking Dead.

He was in the first episode of The Walking Dead, but I think you're talking about Jericho, where he was one of the main characters.
