They say there will be a different killer than the original but I thought that was the best part of Broadchurch. Never would have guessed that ending.
I also have to agree about the acting, particularly Anna Gunn, though really, none of these people are selling these roles.
There is absolutely no chemistry between the two leads which was one of the great things about the original.

The camera work is lovely, the town looks like a very nice place to visit but despite all of the talk about how close everyone is in the community, I am not getting the same sense of place that I got from "Broadchurch" right from the beginning.

On the bright side, I don't feel the same sense of sadness and foreboding after each episode with this one, so, I guess that is sort of a good thing.

LOVE this show!

Finally...a show with a beginning, a middle and an end (or so we are promised)!
I like the fact that we were told right up front it would be 10 episodes.

I think it's getting better with each episode. "The plot thickens" as they say.

I did not watch Broadchurch, but I agree. I've decided I'm not getting much sense of place because Vancouver is being used as a substitute for California. Lots of long O's out of the mouths of the actors, and Gracepoint looks more like CA than CA.

Nonetheless, I am in for all ten episodes. I wish they'd switch it to Monday at 9, as I'm already watching Gotham at 8.

What exactly is so bad about the acting?

I saw Broadchurch some time ago and while I'd like to see the last episode again, I don't want to watch the entire series again. Best I can recall, that was for a reason. I did watch the first episode and was convinced at the bottom of the cliff that it was the show I had already seen - Broadchurch.

I didn't see Broadchurch, so don't have any idea how that played out. I just watched the last episode of Gracepoint. Wasn't the phone number on the scrap of paper found in Danny's pocket the psychic's number?

This moves so slowly--they sure are dragging it out---wish it were more rapid pace and fewer episodes. Still a lot of questions unanswered.

Does anyone know what is wrong (illness) with the lead detective?
