Sandra Oh (formerly Grey's Anatomy) gets showcased here as a bit of a fish out of water working for British intelligence (sort of, sort of not) against a clever villain who the audience hopes she never has to confront in person.
Jodie Comer plays the beautiful--but cold-hearted (she has to mimick someone else's smile to get a little girl to smile back at her) and incredibly cleverly deadly-- assassin. You might lose count how many people she kills in an episode.
It's almost like Colombo chasing that scary assassin from "No Country for Old Men."
I just started watching this. I am enjoying it very much so far. It's hard to find shows these days that interest me long term, I think this show may have enough to keep me going until the end.

I do think this kind of show should have an end. I don't think it's the kind of thing that should be stretched out indefinitely. BBC is a bit better than US programmers in ending a show appropriately before it fizzles out.
