Bluff City might be missing the snappy writing of David E Kelly on LA LAW, The Practice, Boston Legal and Mr Mercedes. Just a guess even tho I really like Jimmy Smits.
This week's episode featured Jimmy Smits doing his court room best. One of the better ones IMHO.
Huh?
Are we talking about episode 3, 25 Years to Life? I just watched it on On Demand to see this "court room best" to which you refer and, more generally, to see if perhaps I wrote off the show too soon.
Nope - my first impression holds. There's just nothin' here. Especially not good acting. And, if Jimmy Smits performed in the court room at all, I somehow missed it.
I actually didn't watch this week's episode after seeing what the theme was. There are bad on both sides of the political divide but only the right is shown on TV and I'm a Democrat but sick of all the BS.

Pretty sure they mean THIS weeks episode, which is "Fire in a Crowded Theater", about the white supremacist inciting violence.
I didnt put this in the cancellation thread because nothing is official but the season will end with episode 10 and while technically NBC will make a decsion on season 2 "later" I wouldnt count on it.

I agree this week Jimmy was enjoyable to watch in the courtroom. I thought it was funny when his lawyer friend asked him if his stunt of overreacting was genuine or just for show. She mentioned in the past he fell down in the courtroom for added drama.

Thank you - my head was starting to spin. What I don't understand is why my Xfinity on demand listed episode 3 as the latest one available for viewing. I just assumed it had aired last Monday, but it was actually October 7th.
I didn't see "Fire in a Crowded Theater", so I have no comment on it.
