Morgan ought to be in that age range too, though I'm not sure of the exact timeline.
The storyline that had Spencer, Cameron, Emma, and Josslyn all the same age and interacting meant that the show would have been forced to SORAS them all at the same time had they remained on the front burner. Since Cameron went back into the disappearing character cupboard and Emma left town, all they had to do was keep Josslyn off screen a while and out of scenes with Spencer for the foreseeable future to allow a no-fuss, no-muss SORAS'ing. Before you know it, she'll be Kiki's age, and poor Cameron will still be nine.
I loved how Maxi chirped with a smile, "So how was the funeral?!" when Lulu showed up. She didn't go to the memorial service for her best friend's brother?
OK. We know where this Nelle storyline is going--she planted the earrings on the nanny so she could supplant her in that role. And Carly is suddenly the biggest sucker in Port Charles.
The writers seem to enjoy writing Carly into stories where she (and only she) believes in someone that everyone else warns her not to trust. As more instances pile up that show her trust is misplaced, she only digs in her heels harder...and when it all ultimately blows apart, they sing her praises for being so "trusting, loyal, and giving" (rather than "dumber than a stump").
I think the most obvious route for Nelle ('the child Carly secretly gave up for adoption has returned to ruin her life') would not be as enjoyable the second time around. They don't seem willing to write for Bobbie, who would have to be involved in this deja-vu storyline for it to have the proper impact. The more shallow style of writing for GH does not lend itself to such a layered, long-term storyline that brings up so much history. I can't imagine the writers are going to let that Spencer family resemblance go to waste, but making her a child Carly gave up would not be a route I would go. I just don't think the current writers could tell the story as well as it was told the first time, and such an effort at a retelling will suffer in comparison.
1989 - (Julian's even in this one and Sharon Case was playing Monica's often-forgotten (now deceased) daughter Dawn. Spoon Island is also the locale for the NYE Party and fake Duke (Jonathan Paget) makes an appearance at the end).
Sonny seems to be a lot less taken in by Nelle than Carly, whose manic public accolades are over-the-top (even for her). I'd like to see Sonny be the one to uncover whatever Nelle's ruse is, and dispatch her (so to speak).
I'd prefer that she was working with Ava somehow, maybe being used as part of a multi-pronged effort to destroy the Corinthoses. Nelle would be the eyes and ears for Ava in that house. Maybe Ava could also instruct her to come between Morgan and Kiki? Lord knows I want to stick a fork in those two.
I think Jax is the one who paid Nelle's family for the kidney and that they could even offer him up as the father of Nelle as well.
