Ronald McDonald is incredibly creepy as well. I would say that both restaurants have gone down very odd roads with their mascots they have lost touch with what is hot or trendy today. The reason they enjoy so much success as businesses is the food. I bet the Marketing departments can pretty much thus get away with doing anything with little ill effect.
I don't know anyone these days that even like clowns. Having a bearded white male representation of authority is likewise just flat out stupid. Both these companies would be best marketing their food via logos and slogans while continuing to associate their brand with kid-company brands from Mattel or the movie franchises. Those things actually work and make sense.
You are right about Ronald McDonald, he is kind of creepy too. Besides being a clown which many people do not like, he is a creepy clown lol. We went through the drive through of a McDonalds and there at the window was Ronald saying hi to all the kids. My daughter was 3 then and was horrified and covered her eyes and looked away.
The Burger King dude really creeps me out, too!!!! I thought it was just me who he bothered. Glad I'm "normal"! The Taco John's cowboy monkey also creeps me out!
oh my gooooooooossssssshhh he is the creepiest thing on TV!
I would be hysterical if he was in my bed or at my window.
Who thought him up and then WHY!
