We have a builder and are considering either of these two places. I have heard some "things" but want to check -- Do you know anything about Stallion Lake Ranch, or Garden Valley Resort & Golf Club? Good? Bad? Indifferent? Safe? Quiet? Nice place to live? HOA easy to live with? Does it do its job without being overbearing? Just anything you might know will be appreciated!

Or, do you know of another good neighborhood in the area to build? Want to stay in a neighborhood with a network of at least a few streets, and a good commuting range to DFW Airport. Lindale is about as far east as we can go. Hideaway is wonderful and beautiful, but the lots available are either too heavily wooded or too expensive to prepare, because of the hills and valleys there.

Thank you.

Can't speak to the questions about builders & neighborhoods, but thought I'd suggest looking at flying from Tyler Pounds regional airport (TYR). American services that airport and it beats the heck out of driving to and dealing with DFW or DAL.

Thank you swagger, we will look into that.

I've heard there is also a shuttle that comes from Tyler and stops in Lindale. Do you know anything about that?

I don't know what happened but I didn't get the notification of a reply. Glad I came over here to check on it!

Just happened to know about the shuttle:

Shuttle Services of East Texas | Shuttle Services of East Texas offers transportation from Tyler and Longview to DFW and Love Field airports as well as charter services.

Thanks Mark! Good to hear from you. I see it stops right at the entrance to Hideaway, you can't beat that.
