Hello. Im new here and hope Im in the right place to ask questions. If not, pls direct me in the right place.
I was "let go" from my job due to false rumours and lies. I was a resturant manager, and sales were very low, in Jan. As I was "demoted" "temporarily" to waitress, from manager, I was quickly fired as rumours made it around the resturant.
Someone wrote a statement claiming that I was an exotic dancer and an escort. I was fired on that. I denied it, begged for my job, and was finally fired 3 weeks later.
I applied for UC because I needed the money, as everyone does. I am a single mom.
I am not a dancer and NO ONE had ANY PROOF, just statements that mean people wrote.
I received UC money, and then 6/2/11 we had a hearing because the resturant appealed the decision to pay me UC benefits.
Apparently the center believes the statements.
Now UC claims "the determination of the service center is reversed, and claim credit for waiting week ending Feb. 12, 2011, is denied.
I am still able to file online for my payments.
What does that "decision" mean? Did I lose all my UC benefits, or just that week? I've been trying to call the UC office for over a week, now.
I don't want to claim money that I am not supposed to have, but as of 6/18/11, I checked my claim status online, and it says my initial claim has been processed, and to file for my biweekly $.
If I lost all eligibility, wouldn't it say that, where I checked it?
Please help.
Thanks
Christina
