Wow I'm happy the kid is okay and that the worst fears didn't come true..

But, uh, why didn't they throughly search the house first??? So they've got a three-county seach operation with practically every available law enforcement officer, and they couldn't find a six year old hiding in an attic? For chrissakes...

Here's some info from CNN: "Richard Heene (boy's father) is a meteorologist and former television weatherman who has submitted to CNN iReports accounts of his sons helping him chase Hurricane Gustav, among other contributions."


More than ever, I think something is fishy here. In the days ahead I hope we learn more about the why the father is a FORMER TV dude.
