Lived in P.G. back in the mid 90's and it was a great place. Excellent weather (as is pretty much the rule in the mountain states). My children weren't in school yet, so can't weigh in on the school systems.
Access to myriad of restaurants, shopping, outdoor activities abound. Snow skiing proximity is excellent, access to water sports is reasonable.
Its an easy area to get around in and a short interstate drive up to the big city.

Pleasant Grove has had a lot of growth. There are lots of houses up on the bench, with great views. The high school has a decent reputation and a good ballroom dance team. It still has a little bit of a "cowboy" reputation, but that's mostly gone. It does still host a big rodeo every year, though. It's conveniently placed in Utah County and in general is very - well, pleasant!

My city borders on Pleasant Grove, and I think the entire area is very friendly, attractive, and a good place for families.
