there are some scams on Craig's List. We looked at a property in Bend, Or. and when we emailed the contact person we got a very strange email response. The person said they lived in West Africa now and the 'application' questions included "Are you Born Again?". It was so strange that we looked at Craig's List again and there was a warning about some scams involving people 'hijacking' pictures of homes for sale and pretending they were rentals. Basically the idea being if someone really bought into it, they would ask for a deposit or something like that to be wired to them in another country.
