My company would like it if I could divide my time in between T.O. and my present home in Alaska (HCA).

That is fine with me as I have family in San Diego. I would appreciate your advice for living/commuting to T.O. and be able to shoot down to S.D. It is just me and can afford to rent/lease up to $2large per month.

Thanks

It's probably faster to commute from Alaska to San Diego than it is from Thousand Oaks to San Diego. Unless you leave really early in the morning or make some other plan to avoid killer traffic, you're talking four bad hours.

You can either drive the 101 East to the 405 south and onto where the 405 connects with the 5 and head into San Diego. I would do it in the early morning though, leave by 6am.

Another option is the Amtrac. You can pick it up in Moorpark just North of Thousand Oaks and not worry about the traffic.

Or, drive to the Oxnard airport and take United Express into San Diego.
