I originally picked it up for my 360, but I prefer FPS on the computer, so I traded it in for something else and later repurchased it for the PC.

I like to play HQ matches online and just recently actually started going through the single player, I believe I am on the last mission currently.

I would seriously estimate that 1 in 10 are cheating on an online PC game.

For system (xbox and PS3) play it's a little more difficult, but those cretins find a way. The new trend is lag switches. You see your opponent flash away while drawing a bead on him? Could by normal system lag, could be he has a lag switch. Some find exploits - just errors in the game code, which is still cheating. Death to cheaters!
Many PC server admins are starting to fight back. There is a community called PBBans, anytime a person is banned from a server running the pbbans program, the player CD hash is sent to a central database, which is then sent to all others using the program. This keeps everyones ban database updated to the most recent one, thus banning people from playing on literally thousands of servers. The only way to get around it is to purchase the game again.

I hate glitchers! They completely RUIN the game.

On Cliffside there is a way to get under the map and shoot people from down there. I know where they get in there because I've seen them do it before. When playing Hardcore Team Death Match if I see my own team trying to get in there I just shoot them continuously and eventually I leave the game. If I'm the host of the match...all the better because then it will end the match.

You'll know when somebody is down there because their shadow will show up on the ground where they are. If you see a shadow but see no person....well....there you go.

There are a few glitches on Makin as well.

A buddy of mine sent me an email the other day saying he was hanging up his boots because he was sick and tired of all the glitchers ruining the game.

And he's right. Every time I play on Cliffside lately I see shadows under the map. I'm sick of it!!!!

I play all the time online on PS3. Search and Destroy, and sometimes team tactical.

I had just started playing COD4 when W@W came out. I really started playing it like hours a day and got hooked real fast. I sucked at first but then found my groove. Used to be the bottom feeder now I'm pretty much on the top 3 in every game. Now this is COD4.

I bought W@W and it just messed me up entirely. Couldn't even find my way around and my k/d ratio was at least 1:5 or 1:10. Really pathetic. I'm still on the first prestige at level 9 but I have no plans of max prestiging it.

I'm going to just max out on COD4 and hopefully do so before Modern Warfare 2 (totally stoked for it to come out).

Feel free to add me on the PS3: jmowen (I don't accept blank requests so just msg. saying City-Data)
I'm a gamer especially sports games. COD is my most played game (about 4 hours a day playing). You can find me playing Sabotage and SnD a lot.

Oh yeah mods and glitches suck big time. I have to ask: What is exactly a lag switch?! How does it work?

I just started back playing WAW and let me tell you Capture the Flag is great- I remember this mode from COD3. Unlike deathmatch it's more team based and most people use their mics. CTF has taken its toll on my k/d ratio but I'm having a lot of fun playing it.
