Total amount spent on question 7 now exceeds 90M. Between this and the tight presidential election, I will be following the news all day tomorrow.

I will be glad when it is all over and we can move on. If the economy doesn't tank again, I think next year will be an exciting year for development as a number of big projects that we've been waiting for begin to break ground or will be under construction. My watch list includes:

East Campus in College Park
Konterra in Laurel
Tanger Outlets in Oxon Hill
Laurel Mall

With regards to Question 7, its casino vs casino! Wake up people. My guess is those who are opposed, are being paid, much like LaVar Arrington saying he supports Q7, how much did they pay him??

Vote if you want table games, don't vote if you dont! I dont give a rat's ass if the money is used for Education or not....politicans always lie, I wouldnt follow any of them

What are they doing with Laurel Mall? Is East Campus the retail they've been promising?

They are tearing down the current Laurel Mall for this:

Personally, I think there is way too much surface parking, but hey, it's better than what is there now.

East Campus in College Park will be a mixture of hotel/conference center, retail, and housing for students. The first phase is unclear. From early site plans, the first phase looks anemic and not very well connected at all. The first phase is projected to be ready in 2015.

Is Rt 1 the frontage road there? I agree about the surface parking. I don't know what to make of that rendering as it looks like some residential tossed in with some town center stuff. That old mall is crumbled.

Big picture so will I but I also like the election process so that will have the lion's share of my attention for the next 48 hours. I think development next year will be exciting to watch. Regardless of the economy
Tanger will be built since they thrive in weak economies since people are looking for deals

I predict this will never be completed. Never.....they might start off with a high rise apartment building...maybe some retail but this is a major undertaking. Who is going to finance this??

Nordstrom Rack is part of the outlet/discount segment. If you like them you should check out their discount site. www.hautelook.com
