Remember though Parx will only pay for half up to 100,000,000 of the cost to build an interchange at the cross section where there site lies. That means that the state would have to come up with the other half which may take years past the scheduled opening of that site considering that the currently funded interchange won't be delivered until 2019. That also doesn't fund the other 4 interchanges that will be needed for 210 to fully function in its to be state. The legislation that passed also built in a clause that an annual allotment will be set aside to road improvements in the five mile radius surrounding the chosen facility as well as money for increased police personnel in that area. That will regardless of who is chosen.

I wonder how people in the county would feel about bringing a casino if it's not at National Harbor, which was how it was marketed when the state voted for the change to the casino bill.
Actually it technically wasn't marketed that way in the literal sense that "If you vote yes you are voting for MGM and they will begin building in Dec. 2012". Believe it or not that is what most voters thought. It was inferred since they were the ones paying to the Yes ads. That said most will probably be upset since they look at MGM more favorably than the others.

No surprise can't wait for the report to be uploaded to the Maryland Video Lottery Terminal Location Commission site so that I can read it for myself.

The MGM Resorts International proposal stands to generate the most gaming revenue for Maryland out of the three firms vying to build a Prince George’s County casino, two consultants hired by the gaming location commission said Friday.

The state-contracted consultants told Maryland’s casino-licensing commission Friday that MGM National Harbor would generate between $713 million and $719 million in pretax gambling revenue in fiscal year 2019 — vastly more than the other proposed casinos.

Looks like it but its not over until the door open. I'm optimistic but any number of variables can present obstacles in the process to opening.

According to law it can't open until 30 months after Horseshoe Casino Baltimore opens its doors but no earlier than June 2016. That doesn't mean that other parts of the resort complex can't open before then. Especially since all of those new employees will need time to smooth out the kinks. It is also my understanding that the gaming commission could let them open their table games or a preview area (Like MD Live did) prior to that date.

Have you ever dealt with consultants? Even ones who are supposed to be "impartial"?

Funny thing that always happens, they always come back with the result the people who are paying for the study/analysis want.
