As stated before, the Kentlands is about as family oriented of a development as you can get. If you want nightlife, you need to head to Bethesda or Washington DC. Unfortunately both are pretty comparable in price.

Aww!! I'm single and got a transfer for work and they just put me up at the Courts of Devon!
It's not as bad as everyone says. I'm late 30s and moved from center city Philadelphia!
Although I grew up / went to college near Bmore so I guess I'm used to this general area.
Where did you end up moving???

I ended up moving to the Kentlands. I don't work at the Bethesda NIH location, so my commute to work is less than 10 minutes with no traffic, 10 minutes with. I like the apartment and the neighborhood. I would have liked to consider Bethesda or other places that are more entertaining for single 30 somethings, but I wasn't willing to throw away more money in rent.
