Shall we presume you do not recommend people ever use cars because idiots get drunk and drive them? Bikeshare is great. Idiots who use anything but the subway or a taxi when plastered are what you should condemn. Your logic is flawed, as always.

You've totally & completely missed the whole point. That is NOT the best thing that I pointed out about the neighborhood.

I wouldn't EVER stay in any rough or "South-Central-like" neighborhood!

I've gone through some of those neighborhoods to get to where I was going though, to find a restaurant, and some of the buildings look worse for wear - all beat up and dilapidated. How on earth can people stay in those buildings like that?

And yes, living in Dupont Circle can be pretty expensive, so unless someone else was moving there with me, a studio apartment would have to do.
sounds like Jahvon09 has a good head on his shoulders.

Maybe, if you're old enough to have a daughter in her early 30s.

I AM from out of town, hence my location, and even though I love visiting Washington, DC, I happen to like Dupont Circle very much. Which is why I stay there all the time.

I've visited other areas in Washington, did a lot of sightseeing and visited some of the museums at The Mall, but again, Dupont Circle is where I like to stay when I come here.

I will be staying there again for the week of New Years. Thank you.
I apologize for assuming your age. I just had no idea why the thread was started and wanted more info. And no, I didn't mean it was a bad thing to be a teenager, young and bright-eyed and excited about the city.

Thanks for clarifying.
