There is an onboard community at The Wharf and maybe at the Georgetown Harbor though.

There no place to go unless it is a very shallow draft boat. I draw 5 feet and about 90% of what you see is way too shallow. So if you want to have a boat tied up to a dock, DC is your place. If you want to use the boat for something, it's a waste of time.

LOL....my dad is from Baltimore. He grew up in east Baltimore. I know Baltimore better than you do. Half my family lives there. You just got to the city recently. LOL....you can't make this stuff up.......

I get it, you're excited about your new city, that's fine, however, you need to be realistic. Washington D.C. is in a completely different league than Baltimore. This is the capital of the most powerful nation on earth. Washington D.C. competes with NYC, London, Tokyo, etc. etc. You can look at any ranking anywhere and you will see D.C. alongside those cities with Baltimore nowhere to be found. Just enjoy your city for what it is.

As for the bolded sentence, I didn't even know Rosslyn was crafting up a waterfront of their own. Interesting.
It's not official. But I remember reading that their council was talking about decking the highway & connecting to the Potomac

I think people don't boat on the Potomac because it isn't a waterfront area yet that is inviting to boaters. But when you are down in DC for the Fourth of July you see tons of boats & yachts on the Potomac watching the fireworks. So I don't think what you are saying is real

Actually it's you don't get it. Most of Baltimore is an armpit. That's too bad because the city has a lot of what it takes to be successful, but to achieve that you'd have to neutron bomb the place and start over with different people.

LOL, but then you aren't a boater. It's the opposite. There's no real waterfront because their is very poor boating. DC is 50 miles from the Chesapeake Bay, one of the top 3-4 boating resources in the country. Why keep a boat at DC when the resource is so far away. The people who keep boats at DC want to be seen by non-boaters, who are naive and easily impressed.
