Sorry for the misquote, Mr. Moth. I meant to write RFK. There are most likely more redskins fans in Virginia and northern North Carolina than Maryland by far, but it would still be nice if The Redskins could go back to DC for all the district fans, since it is a DC team. If it went to Suburban Virginia somewhere, it would be no different than being in Landover, unless they moved to Richmond. Then it would be in a real city again, and they could be called the Richmond Redskins, but that would be kind of crazy to imagine.

looks like another potential sports stadium ripoff might be in the works- Which jurisdiction (DC, MD or VA) will be the winner (really the loser) in throwing gobs of cash to subsidize the new Redskins stadium - let the fun begin!
Yes big sports facilities are usually a lousy deal for taxpayers. And yes I'd like to see the Skins back at East Capitol Street. So I don't know. See how it pans out.
Such a waste. Their current location is not old or obsolete. Its big, has luxury boxes and easy access to the beltway. Like I said, such a waste.

Personally, I would love to see them return to DC, but methinks Danny is simply feeding the bidding war. A very rational move. Rare is the owner who has 3 jurisdictions vying for the team.
Practically, constructing something new where they are now is the way to go.
$600 million for the Nat's Stadium? It's funny how cities don't have money to develop underserved parts of their cities, yet can pull money from nowhere to give to wealthy individuals for single structures.
Imagine what $600 million could have done with public/private partnerships in Ward 8? I think the returns would have been much greater in my opinion. Let the billionaires pay for their own palaces. The city should make better use of its funds when it comes to economic development and sports stadiums.
