WA isn't poaching though. In fact, many there would probably rather we didn't move there.

I have a cousin who moved from San Diego to Spokane. He loves it, owns a house on a salary that barely got him an apartment here (oh crap I sound like someone from that other place). For me, west of the cascades is the place. I personally don't care for the sun that much and never miss it when it's not around.

Default Hilarious

So, thread got moved to Washington forum. We had Californians posting with comparison conversations about California vs Washington ... Even had a moderator participating in the fun and comparison discussions. We have had a dozen (at least) threads about Texas vs California. The Texas vs California threads go on and on for as much as 1000 replies, most of them completely off topic ... but that is allowed.

So why did this one get moved? The California moderator's bias against anything nullgeo is showing.
Write your congressperson.

Personally, I really enjoy my time in Western WA... about the only thing I find down right frightening is a fierce winter wind storm or one after weeks of rain when every tree is viewed with suspicion...

I've seen the devastation of a winter ice storm in Olympia... roads impassible, power out for up to a week in the outlying areas...

Other than that... I love the green, rain (Plentiful Water), people, scenery and the sound...

If property taxes would be a little more predictable... WA would heaven...

No, it's the bias against anything that doesn't allow their beloved red states to trash CA. WA doesn't mean much to them and many more good things can be said about WA than Texas so they can't have that.

What you say is true but not the reason this was moved. Pure ongoing beef the moderator has with me for years.

I moved to WA from CA three years ago and I've never met anyone who cared that I was a Californian. My neighbor moved here from San Jose 14 years ago and a lot of my other friends here used to live in CA, too. No one gives a hoot as long as you don't try to turn the place into where you came from, but I think that's true of almost anywhere. And besides, if you like where you live so much, you wouldn't move, anyway.
