I'm looking forward to spring. Our family has always enjoyed wildflowers and well as planted gardens. I'm starting to see early signs of spring with flowering trees beginning to bloom. Local residential gardens are displaying more flowers as well. I'm not sure if it is early this year since its our first year in WA, but I'm enjoying it all the same.

How is spring in your area? Any recent photos you care you share? Here are few local shots from today, a nice last day of February.

Doh! Good catch. My watch apparently does not account for leap years. Either way, I'm loving early spring out there!

Be sure to visit the UW campus in Seattle, to photo the main quadrangle full of flowering cherry blossoms! I think the main season is in early April or so. Tour buses full of Japanese tourists visit campus at that time, to see that sight.

Willdflower season has officially begun in the Gorge. I took a fun hike today near White Salmon and it was beautiful out. Lots of people enjoying the sunny day.

Nice picture! I miss this time of the year. I always enjoyed the spring, most when I lived in Kent, before we moved to Los Angeles when I was in 6th Grade. Always liked the smell of all the trees and flowers in the air.

Lovely photos!

And note, this is a very early spring. I've been here almost 15 years and this is the earliest bloom that I can recall in that time. This reminds me of Chico or Redding-area orchards Feb/Mar in CA, but certainly not WA.

On a (somewhat) sadder note, those of us allergic to spring blooms may experience symptoms similar to the current cold/flu/(and even worse) coronavirus outbreak. What a time to have all of these issues collide.

This is not an early spring. It's very average. We have had earlier blooms during milder winters.
