I was wondering if Everett is a good area? I might me getting a job with Boeing. Schools and stuff like that aren't a deal breaker I don't have kids. I would be on budget of about $4000 a month and really doesn't want to spend no more that $1200 a month on rent. Would I be able to get a 2 bed and maybe 2 bath for that amount. I also have cats. I really don't want to drive no more than 30 mins to work. Is this realistic?

Yeah, that's very doable. Some of Everett is rundown and crime ridden, but other parts are nice. Mill Creek and Mukilteo are nearby and very nice places as well.

Be sure you know what you're getting into, job-wise. Boeing is cutting back on widebody production, which happens in Everett.

I may be getting a job with boeing too, and wonder if there's places north of everett worth recommending (good schools, nice decent homes, etc) ..I've looked at Woodinville over the internet as an option, it could be expensive there, but good schools.

There are two ditinct parts to Everett itself- basically North and South. The North area can be more crime ridden, I live in the South East area of Everett, and it's fantastic. It is very centrally located - probably about a 15 - 20 minute commute to Boeing. We have alot of neighbors who work there! Mukilteo is also very nice but would be more expensive as you are close to the water. GFood Luck..let me know if you need more details!
