Red Robin is a restaurant chain that actually makes good hamburgers, but it's one of those " festive" places which are often noisy, and have the whole gang of waitstaff come up to tables singing " happy happy happy happy happy birthday."
It's not a place for a quiet, romantic meal.

I have had great casual meals at Fondi Pizza right across from the new Blazing Onion burger place and Anthony on the waterfront has great seafood and early dining complete dinner specials. Tides tavern is regionally famous for its fish and chips. Across the bridge on the Ruston Waterfront(10 minutes from Gig Harbor) the Harbor Lights is an institution and there is the RAM which is a brewery restaurant. All have water views. Brix25 in Gig harbor is well rated.

I have an affordable place 30 miles from Tacoma on the Gig Harbor side for sale...really good deal with this economy the way it is, but not an easy drive to Seattle. I did that for years in a 4 on the floor high performance Mustang in rush hour both ways...no fun at all. Better to work in Tacoma or Gig Harbor. Gig Harbor just got a brand new state of the art hospital, a Costco and all kinds of other shopping centers and such.

Considering moving to gig harbor worth a 1.5 year old. A comfortable community with a good school system is super important to us. My husband is a carpenter so he could probably work in town or in Seattle depending on where he's thrown... is this form of public transport limited to certain hours? I work in banking. What's your favorite community bank?
