For the last few years, I kept wondering if this year was going to be the year. And I had the same sentiment going into this one, as well. After all, Texas was due to have another event similar to what 1980 brought us, given the number of days over 100 degrees that we ended up having. Well, we've certainly seen that and then some. What we need now, more than anything, is rain. It was refreshing to see lows in the 50s in North Texas this week, but there's something much more pressing with the wildfires out of control. Some of my state's lake levels are less than 60 percent full at this writing.
It's bene a long hot summer this year (I say that every year though)
But this year was very hot & wet.
Last was alot dryer though. I know, as last year I worked outside.
This year I could not have & didn't have to. TNK G+D!
But every year, as I get older, I'm glad for the extreme heat's end.
That proves a seesaw effect though. The end of summer signifies "snowbird" season.
I don't know which I would rather live without. (Oops. Did I saw that?)
Good riddance? I still have another month or so of hot heat, hell I'll still have my A/C on come Christmas usually.. Yesterday it was 102 heat index with 79% humidity ... Why I moved back to Florida is beyond me..oi!
