If we get some decent storms it won't be too bad, though I'm not holding out that much hope looking at this apart from maybe a small one tomorrow.

Well, today is nice, 24C with puffy cumulus.

Last night was rather muggy and tonight is forecast to be rather muggy too with a low of 17C.

Only two days with highs below 20C so far this month and the forecast for the rest of the week and into next week is low 20's all the way, but it'll be a bit wet too.

We should of started a thread for this Arctic storm. "Usually these storms last 40hrs, this one is lasting 5 days"

Tomorrow is looking odd here - 23C, heavy rain and winds gusting to 38mph, so I assume very humid, not at all a common combination here.

Your image says as of August 9. Presumably the storm is finished by now? Still is worth watching how the sea ice responds, perhaps that's worth a separate thread.

Not bad at all today. A little muggy, but after some rain this morning, it was mostly cloudy with a high of 77 F. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight. Forecast starting Saturday only has highs in the mid-70s.

This chart shows a hot day across eastern England.. I wouldn't be surprised to see 30C reached somewhere in northern England this week (somewhere in Yorkshire no doubt).

Didn't that happen just a few weeks ago? I can't remember the last time I had a 4am thunderstorm. There's meant to be one later this morning here, but at the moment it just looks like a typical benign overcast day.
