The yearly record low is usually around -27C/-17F, occurring around two nights a year. Looking at the past 30 years, lows below -30C have been recorded a few times, around every seventh winter, the last time being in 2003. The absolute low for the period is -34.8C/-31F, in 1987.

Last winter, the record low was -23.6C/-10.5F and the lowest high -17C/1F, which is quite average for a record low high. Highs below -15C occur usually a few days a winter, sometimes none.

24 hour highs under 10C are very rare, although every winter you'll see afternoon temps as low as 6-7C a couple of times, however it only lasts a few hours and will usually warm up even if it's evening as the cold airmass moves away.

Also I haven't seen a good frost since 2005.

Melbourne downtown and the bayside suburbs don't get frosts. Inland suburbs will perhaps 2-4 times a year, but usually mild like 0C to -1C.

The average absolute minimum here (from my own records going back to 2001) is -2C.

From the local Met Office weather station at Southsea (now closed) the average absolute minimum over its last 30 years in operation was -3.4C & the record low was -8.0C

The record low high, if I remember correctly, was -20F/-29C.
The average extreme minimum is -7c, but it can and does get much colder than that.

We have Ice days most years.

Um, the average extreme min in places like birmingham is like -8c so I am very doubtful that London would reach -10c every year.

Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA

In a typical year the lowest recorded temperature is within a few degrees of -12C (10F).

In a year with a significant cold snap, perhaps every five years or so, we can record a temperature around -20C (-5F).

The lowest recorded temperature in Albuquerque is -27C (-17F).

Most of northern New Mexico is significantly colder than Albuquerque. It's low elevation (relative to the rest of the region) and heat island affect moderate its temperatures.
