Nice landscape in the first photo. So are all the trees on the hillside from purposeful planting rather than just natural forest growth due to lack of recent human use? Is that a layer of fog in the second and fourth photos?
Hi, yes the dark green trees are imported but the ones below that are native. I don't think there was any forest there before the imported trees. Maybe 1600s.
The fog is there yes and it has been there all day keeping areas in the fog from rising above low teens.
Apparently, around Paris, the most common species are, in decreasing order, oak (about half of the trees), ash, chestnut tree, scots pine, robinia, birch, poplar and beech.
