I am hoping we get more snow this year in southern Missouri! We moved here from South Mississippi two years ago and our first two winters here were really dry. I moved further north so that I could enjoy having a winter season and so far it hasn't been much of the winter wonderland I had hoped.

I know some people think I am strange for wanting snow, but after living down south all my life I am tired of the heat. Even Alaska is looking good to me right now.

Stephanie

It's the other way around... I think people "not" wanting snow or wanting summer is strange. Welcome to the snowclub. Hope you see some good snowstorms.

I'm not waiting with baited breath for snow or cold.

I'm not in love with high temperatures by any means however I'm not in love with snow and cold either so winter can stay away for 4 more months.

I have fond memories of wearing sandals up to a couple of days before Christmas (happened often between 1990 to 2005). Of course those were also during our drought years so there was definitely a trade off.

Hopefully a very mild sunny winter. I HATE HATE HATE the raw damp or even freezing cold VERY CLOUDY winters here. Just feel so awful to my poor senses and my hands and feet all cold with my nose and face cold. The assault to my being is just insufferable. I wish the weather was like July all year!

Well you could always come here for a visit Stephanie. I'm sure we will have some snow...lots if the fellows here are wrong.

Afraid I'm one of those peeps that can't stand high humidity. The drought years were also kind to us re cool nights (even though the days were really hot but dry).

Lately we've had many a summer with high humidity and I hate it because we don't have A/C. I also doubt we'd get it since we pay enough for heating (-40 winters cost a pretty penny).

However we do have a farm and it is showing the results of what lots rain can do (truly amazing).

Great News!!!!

The stratosphere at the mid and higher latitudes has started to rapidly warm from 10 MB down to 70 MB. Decreasing sun spots might be doing this.

This may mark major pattern change for Fall and winter.

As long as it affects only North western europe and not North eastern europe as I cannot stand easterly air streams.

What I need is a Greenland express. Lets Hope for some October snow
