So the highs there in summer are mostly in the 75-80 F range (on average) with average lows in the 50s even during the warmest part of the year. Winter is extremely cold though, with a January average high of -26 F and an average low of -44 F, also a good deal snowier. Popular destination for people that want to cool off during the hottest part of the summer and people that want to witness extreme cold in winter (record low there is -105 F). There's also a huge lake about 35 miles west of town that's a big destination for summer sports and for ice fishing, snowmobiling and whatnot in winter. Also lots of public pools to cool off in too. And there's a pretty popular ski resort about 55 miles northeast of town, which is at the base of the same mountain range Mountain Lake is located. Plenty of recreational opportunities here during both winter and summer.

And on top of that, summer starts to wane quite rapidly during the second half of August. Average high mid-month is about 86 F, and it cools off to 75 F by the end of August (with an average low of 52/53 F) and by mid-September the average high is already down to an autumnal 64 F with an average low of 40 F.
The winters are extreme for me, but overall it sounds like a nice place. Certainly never a dull moment climate wise in your country.

I think you'd like the shoulder seasons (perhaps not March and November - but September/October and April/May would be nice and cool for you) and you'd appreciate August for the rapid cool down.

Most definitely. August, September and October sound awesome. Have you posted the averages for this climate before?

Although, I'd like to make July's average highs about 4 F warmer (to make it 96 F, with a record high of 122 F), June about 3 F warmer and make Dec-Feb 4 F cooler (and make the record low -96 F) March and November about 2 F colder each, keep April, October, September, May and August the same.

Conditions: Sunny

Wind: N at 6 mph

Dew Point: 48 F (9 C)

**SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT**

This morning's low of 53 F, which occurred around the 3 AM hour, ties the record low set for this date, which occurred back in 1966. The unusually low dew points that will be occurring today along with cooler than normal conditions will ensure that record lows will be challenged again tomorrow morning as well. This may come as a big shock to the system to some of you as we did recently had record-challenging heat.
