It would be crazy if somewhere in Florida recorded a freeze before Niagara
Still no freeze here either! So far we've dropped to 0.6c, close but no freeze. Most places around us have dropped below freezing lately, but we're protected by the Detroit heat island and the lakes, much like the Niagara region.
A cold front passing through my area actually warmed the temperature up! I kid you not. Goodbye inversion/valley cloud/fog/high humidity and hello sunshine!
Last week it was 16°C (29°F) warmer where my mom lives at 3000 ft than where I live at 1700 ft! Plus, she was basking in sunshine while I was suffering in cold wet miserable fog. No wonder why the deer go live up high this time of year!
Since I'm sure all of you care, here are some more "capitals", from today:

Troyes, capital of Aube and andouillette: -0.4°C
Mont-de-Marsan, capital of Landes (far SW France): -0.5°C
Colmar, capital of Haut-Rhin: -0.9°C
Nevers, capital of Nièvre: -1.5°C
Aurillac, capital of Cantal: -2.8°C
Rodez, capital of Aveyron: -3°C
OT, but today was Orly's second ground frost. The first freeze is miles away.
A surprising freeze this morning. It's been so warm for so long, I'm getting used to year round T-shirt weather. If NOAA is to be believed, we may end up getting a whole year of consecutive warmer than average months. Ludicrous and disgusting but by now it's more apathy than anger.
No freeze here yet, I'm surprised if you've had one in NI given how mild it normally is there.
