This one is a bit hard. I don't mind Kutchan, it's not that bad. That amount of snow might be interesting, and I would feel good with all that snow. It might be interesting just for three years, though, after that, it might get annoying.
I choose Kerguelen Islands (it's one of my favourite climates, after all), not because I hate Kutchan, but because it's more comfortable overall. I'm not a fan of -10 °C lows and -2 °C highs, and those summers, while not scorching, are not what something I'd like to have. Sunshine hours are good, though. Kerguelen Islands offer year-round comfortable temperatures, with a 11.5 °C high in February, and a -0.4 °C (very slightly below freezing, so not cold) average low in August. I love those temperatures!!! ^^
