In your culture, who's the one that proposes the arrangement principally? Do both give you two choices, etc.? I'm curious to know.
Depends. If your child is a girl, then it must be you who takes charge. If your child is a boy, then its your wife. Just to keep the male-male and female-female relationship stable.
Thankfully, I have a sensible mom . The "unlucky" guys were ones with moms who lacked the ability to make a prudent decision.
I definitely agree that physical attractiveness is indispensable. But it can also feel counter-intuitive to be in the initiator role since I generally desire outgoing girls.
In principle, I don't mind people who are not outgoing. But it's weird. I never make friends or acquaintances with people who aren't outgoing (except on the internet). Because I'm not outgoing and since they aren't, I never talk to such people! Lol. I like people who are outgoing. They make it much easier for me. Nothing worse than two socially-awkward people trying to communicate.
I couldn't date someone who's socially awkward... I am socially awkward... sometimes. Two socially awkward people trying to get along just exacerbates the social awkwardness of the whole situation. If the other person is more outgoing, then they can ease my social awkwardness and I can get along with them much better.
