You don't like anything. How can anyone say English cities are ugly are beyond me...
Some are, but then again I'm generally not a fan of older architecture, especially if it involves drab colors. It can paint a bleak and unappealing scene, to me.
I will say this about school / colleges / universities - in most cases, you can do work at a 90% proficiency rate and still get an "A" grade - sometimes even less. But in the world of work, 90% is hardly ever good enough, and it can result in getting the poor worker fired.
This is the probably the No. 1 reason I had such difficulty adapting to the world of work after university - it always seemed like I was never "good enough" to keep the boss happy. This is why I've always felt the employment system needs to be revamped to make it more human-friendly, instead of squeezing people for the last drop of "productivity."
That's why I tell people who are in school to stay in school for as long as they can - as it's sure a heck of a lot better than the typical workplace...lol.
True, but school costs money. Especially at tech, the fees are quite high for an out of state kid like me without a GRA. My reason for coming was the fact that you get maximum benefit out of it for paying the price. In fact, its ranked as number 1 in that criteria.
Some of the smaller American cities I find look so dull. The box style boring eye sores for skyscrapers are also pretty bad in my opinion.
I like skyscrapers - but only when they are done well. London is OK in this regard with some really innovative designs that I find actually look really nice:
Yeah I didn't realize buildings in London were that interesting.
I think my favorite city aesthetically is Miami. Hong Kong is also cool.
This cold damp weather is playing havoc with my hand. I broke it a couple of years ago, and when it's cold it just gets really stiff and uncomfortable.
My hand that is.
