Last week in the Eastern Sierras in California. Some of the new snow melted already.

94 degree record in Miami today. Was 93 on Wednesday & Thursday.

Wait what? A heat post? How many posts can I do? heat doesn't interest me.

This was the forecast highs. Pretty much the only area in U.S (and south Texas) to get this kind of heat. Not benefiting from the front naturally.

Nice early fall day here. Only about 68F/20C at 5:45 PM. The high today was 71F. October is off to a pleasant start. So much better than those 80+ temperatures that we had first few days of October last year. This year the start of October actually feels like fall. Most of the trees obviously still have their leaves, but quite a few are already changing colors and some leaves are starting to fall off. So all that just enhances my enjoyment of this pleasantly cool weather.

Yeah, it's terrible. September seemed more comfortable than this.

Weird for them to be that much hotter than Naples.

Many of the leaves up here have changed and even are beginning to fall. I'll try to take some pictures this weekend. A comfortable, breezy 62 F/17 C now. Sunday should be nice and cool with a high of only 60 F/16 C, but then temperatures bounce back up to 70 F/21 C. Nice, but on the warm side now. I'm ready for cooler temps.
