Predict the day that you think your location will see it's first high temperature cooler than 0C. Or Ice day, whatever you Europeans call it.

Usually happens here beginning of November.

I'll go with November 3, 2014.

I predict I'll get a cold snap the last week of December and I'll see a few days where the high doesn't get above freezing.

I don't think I'll see one.. if we get a cold winter, then probably January 1st-15th

Norwich doesn't see them? Thought it was colder there than London?

Norwich probably will see a couple, but it isn't all that much colder than London, just more prone to cold winds.. last winter we didn't get any of that here though!

I have noticed since being here that the winter lows are what seem to be colder compared to London.. dropping below freezing much more

For Grand Forks I went late October.... just a guess....usually late Oct to early Nov....

I havent had 2 years in a row where it happened in November so I don't think this is the year to do it. My guess is December 7th.

Most often there are no subfreezing highs.

Last winter there were 3 - all in January. I'm thinking it will be another cold winter for the Southern U.S., so I'll guess we'll have one sometime in January.
