As I mentioned in another thread, it is fairly common along the Norwegian coast in winter and late autumn, less common but still does happen in the far north.
Happened several times last winter, maybe up to 10 days some places. So pretty common in Bergen and Ålesund, and not uncommon in Trondheim, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Bodø, Tromsø etc.
Here is an image I posted last winter. Winter lightning over the Norwegian Sea, North Sea, Norway and Northern Scotland. Every red dot represents a lightning during the last 3 hours.

I've never seen thundersnow here, or anywhere for that matter. It's one of the few weather phenomenons that I've yet to experience - along with a hurricane.
Yes, it was amazing. Almost constant (but not very strong) thunder and heavy snow for 12 hours straight. What's the best is that there were almost no traffic problems.

Oh God I would like to see a video! Thundersnow is my favourite phenomenon because I love both snow and thunderstorms so a combination of the 2 is just the best!

The same here. I adore both snow and thunder, and when you mix the two of them, you get something truly incredible, although the thunder in this storm was mostly cloud-to-cloud, so just some flashes and no visible lightning bolts.
I'll try to find some videos when I get home.
