Virginia or Delaware is a weird place for a direct hit from a hurricane. When was the last time that happened?
Not sure but if the Euro model goes the way of the other models, if I were living in that coastal region, I would pack up and move inland and not ride it out.
Yup. All meteos on their toes now. If it ends up the middle of Euro and others this would all be for nothing as it would stay off shore. But we cant ignore what the others are saying. I'm having Sandy flashbacks.
This thing looks like it's going right for central Jersey. That would mean a mess for most of the tri-state right up to MA, if it's anything like Sandy.

I was thinking about how similar the tracks were. Seems that this one will be a whole lot less intense, hopefully it is should it hit the same spot--I know plenty of people who are still recovering from Sandy.
Ok, so I checked.. and labeled the images.. Even though nobody knows where this thing is going still.. Here's how many Tropical storms have cross 30-50 miles from around Norfolk...
Only a select few direct from the Atlantic. 1899, 1897, 1967 & the big 1933 one
Look at Doria's path. Wow. Was heading OTS then boom, West it came and strengthened.

Not me...lol. I'd try to find a beach that has access and watch the monster waves. I got to experience a 70 mph tropical storm at the beach once - that was pretty awesome. The house did the shake, rattle and roll in the higher gusts, and when I went outside, it was actually hard to stand up...lol. It was a bit scary seeing the big windows bow inward though.
