I think the time has come to implement a self-repping option.

I've asked the senior moderator about this, but have yet to receive a reply.

The past couple days have been fantastic. Mid to high 70s the past couple days, 80 degrees today. I'm so happy I got a couple days to air out the house after sealing all the windows with plastic since December.

"Actually, working with the kids implies that the student feels this territory like his own, and, this is our challenge: making them feel that is is part of Argentina, that we are in the territory of Tierra Del Fuego and that this place belongs to a province of Argentina"

Continuing from another thread: what is everyone's favourite past of history (if you have one). Mine is WWII mainly but also parts of WWI, US, Australia (even though it's a bit boring at times) and Europe. Medieval is quite interesting too!

As I said in the other thread, but let's not continue the OT there, my favourite era is the time from the Vienna congress up to WWI. It was an era of so rapid change economically, socially and politically, that due to industrialisation, liberalism, socialism, nationalism, emigration... everything pretty much exploded. Some did really well (Britain, US, France, Germany, Japan, the Low Countries, Sweden, Denmark), some very poorly (Russia, Ottoman Empire, Spain, Portugal, China, Mexico), and some just had to try their best being in a very tricky situation (Finland, Norway, Italy, Greece, the Dominions of Canada, Australia and NZ, Persia, Romania, Serbia).

I've also focused more and more on Finnish history. As Dr. of History Teemu Keskisarja said "If we Finns aren't interested in Finnish history, who would be? Not any foreigner at least".

I do love the Mannheim line etc. did a biography of him in year 9. I don't know much about Finnish history outside of 1918-1944. I kind of know the Vienna Conference but not very well.

Exactly. And 'Finnish' History started around 7500 BC. At least from 3000 BC real cultures started to form.

Yep, indigenous Australia is one of the oldest cultures, some records go back to possibly 60,000BCE but usually 40,000BCE.
