Was 97 with 94% humidity where I was on the East Coast yesterday, pushing the "feels like" temp into triple digits. Yet another reason I loathe summer, even with AC running full-blast, it was hard to keep it under 83 inside, with ceiling and floor fans blasting too. Good grief to the West Coast, I suppose at least it isn't super-humid to boot.
Here's another dumb weather related quote by the GP.
Something I hadn't known before, but it seems most of the population of Norilsk (a city most here on the Weather Forum are probably aware of) is Ukrainian, not Russian:
Norilsk was originally founded as a sieries of Gulags that mostly included Ukrainian collaborators with the Nazi Germany who were from western Ukraine (unlike most other Ukrainians in Russia who are from the east). Norilsk is the only inhabited locality in Russia (excluding Villages) with a Ukrainian majority. Ukrainians make up 59-80 percent of Norilsks population. Many of their descendants keep their Ukrainian identity. Norilsk has notably accepted refugees from Ukraine due to family ties with Ukraine.
What's your opinion on chest hairs? I find them very annoying and try to shave them off as soon as they start to surface. Luckily I'm not very hairy and they will not grow back in a minute.
