What a big contrast, has to be one of the more extreme contrasts I've seen. Cooling down here, still warming up in Philly & DC.

84 F with a 64 F dew point here, but with the strong sun it feels quite hot. Sun angle is up to 78 degrees now.

That's higher than we ever get. I think we max out at around 73-74 degrees.

We max out at close to 88 degrees, only two degrees off from being directly overhead.


Needless to say, between late April and mid August here, the sun is quite relentless.

It was 3.4°C (38°F) at 2 pm in Paris-Orly at 2 am. And 1.8°C (35°F) and snowing in SW suburban Trappes at the same time. Just shows how cold the mid levels still are after a late April cold front for a simple shower to be able to drop the temp that much in the middle of the afternoon:

Notice the snow obs at 7.4°C (45°F)?

Meanwhile 21°C/70°F and sunny in Nice.

2 pm map when Paris was in the bullseye. Then look at Cannes.

Nice for midsummer. Oh wait, still 2 months to the solstice. I've heard that the end of the tunnel is near though? Tbh I'm jealous, the climate in Minneapolis rocks, even though it's definitely on the cold side for my preferences.
