And What Part of Eastern Europe you are Talking About? Warszaw,Kiev,Minsk are Colder than most Eastern US Cities(example:Warsaw Colder than NY/Kiev Colder than Boston),and they are at Northern Latitude,so they became Green Later than Most of Eastern US.
I believe a Polish poster posted comparison photos last spring comparing somewhere there with NYC. Can;t recall if it was ahead or not, but pretty closer I think.

I don't care what anybody says, Europe is warming faster than anywhere in the world. They just don't get 1963 type winters anymore. I want to see Europe in a winter long deep freeze. All of it.

It's normal for us to be ahead at this time of year, though aren't you quite close to us this year? I thought I read before that Cambium's area is behind here until well into May!?

Yes, but the spring warmup is not very different, despite Europe having a big disadvantage in latitude. Spring blooming has very little to do with latitude, and very much to do with temperatures.

Always remember:

Kiev today:

Kiev forecast: weather Kiev 8 days: Rain risk - Wind - UV index - Sunshine hours
Boston forecast: weather Boston 8 days: Rain risk - Wind - UV index - Sunshine hours
Sept-ÃŽles forecast being on the same latitude as Kiev: weather Sept-ÃŽles 8 days: Rain risk - Wind - UV index - Sunshine hours
