Oh wow, I'm sorry. I've just always pronounced it as prez, and I have an American accent, so I just assumed that's how Americans pronounced it.

Edit: I looked it up and both pronunciations are used in the US. So I'm not "wrong" for pronouncing it like present

American television shows would say otherwise.

I think the American "prezintaysion" would still sound a bit different than the British one from the accent.

Goes both ways...

Sometimes, it does seem to me at least, that Americans change the pronunciation of certain words in order to differentiate themselves from the British or the rest of the world; look at the words Presentation or Herbs.
American pronunciation changes mostly happened before mass media sometime in the late 1700s or 1800s. Sometimes it's the British pronunciation that's more changed from pronunciation in say, 1700 than the American.

British English is sometimes more influenced by French than American English.

A lot of Englishmen don't pronounce the c in schedule. Where are you from then if not England? Maybe it's time to add location in your bio too?

He's from Northern Ireland. Northern Irish can barely speak English themselves, so being taught English by one is odd.
