I was literally just about to comment this lol. When I get a headache, I usually start drinking water or put cold water in my face. It seems to help a bit. And if I'm home I'll try and sleep it off.

lol i'm talking about some non important analysis taken in a medical centre of a town which have to be sended to an hospital and they have to return back, not about a city hospital, you live in Paris lol

and yours were in the social security? because here I can also go to a private lab and get the results in 2 hours it also depends which kind of analysis is... mine was a huge and complete 5 page analysis

just a routine check, made them on wednesday, results got printed the day after (as it says on the 1st page) but I suppose it took 1 more day to return at the medical centre. I got them the 3rd day, 2 full days.

I used to not take pain pills, because I'd never really felt them work. Sure, I could've felt better after an hour or so from taking them, but that could just have been the water I'd drunk or that it just would've gone away anyway. Then I got the flue during the day of big choir concert. We were rehearsing all day long pretty much, and every single muscle and joint in my body were hurting like hell, as well as my head and eyes. It got to a point where I couldn't rehearse any more, I could only sit in a chair looking at the others rehearsing. Then someone told me to just go the the school nurse and get a pain pill, and I was skeptical but I did anyway. I got some ibuprofen and after 30-60 minutes from taking them, I felt fine. I was sweating a lot, but I could walk, stand, sing and everything else without too much effort. Then, 6 or 8 hours later when we had gone to the venue to do our last rehearsals, I started feeling ****ed up again. Like 10 people from my family were gonna come and watch, so I had to be there, but I realized that if I didn't start feeling better soon, I wouldn't even be able to perform at the concert. I asked around but nobody had any pills. I ended up going away to a pharmacist's during our dinner break and buy a whole box of 30 ibuprofen pills (like 6€), even though we had more at home, just to get that one pill. And the pill worked its magic, and ever since then I've started using ibuprofen whenever something aches in my body and I don't want it to, pretty much.

A sugar pill will work just as well for some people. The placebo effect is a powerful thing.

Same here. 30 years old, and the worst illness I've had is Tonsillitis about 15 years ago. I get a cold every winter, but I've never had the Flu or anything like that.
