An Up & Down, Very Active winter with little snow?
Lol
This yr is becoming stressful because the pattern is so active producing storms but very little snow has fallen here so far. Just missing each time or weak when it hits.
Not everyone can win each time but I MISS IT!! 1 big snowstorm a year doesnt cut it for me. Lol
I know some places have had it worse waiting and waiting for a snowstorm so I cant complain. Just hurts when the pattern is crazy active!!
I need a NW flow to get Lake Effect snow squalls or flurries.
Nei can have a West or NW flow.
Like today.. West flow.. not favoring me, but is MA getting Lake Erie Effect snow squalls or instability snow squalls. What is NWS Boston saying?? Snowing on Greylock in MA.

At this point I'll take no snow over these annoying one inch events. Freezing cold for several days, then a chance of rain again next week.

I hear ya loud and clear. If we miss Saturdays big storm (we most likely will), then we have to wait at least 2 weeks for next big "potential" snowstorm or longer.. Just saying.. we have to wait another couple weeks. Nothing in the works next 10 days.
March is only 7 weeks away now. At least its not torching warm like last year.
Epic week ahead for most of Europe (take in mind that all those anomalies are on Cº!!):

And California's mountains with all that moisture will be buried on snow for sure. First time i see such high Andes level of accumulation there in a forecast.

I would rather have a warm and inactive winter with little snow than an up and down and very active winter with little snow, but who cares what my opinion is.......Mother Nature will do whatever and whenever she pleases, there is no point of cutting off my nose to spite my face, besides, as Cambium mentioned earlier in this thread, at least this winter isn't torching warm like last year
It's so scattered and light but the snow is coming across. Follow the orange lines. That's the general storm motion path (18000' flow)
A lot of Virga in Kentucky but the snow flakes are flying
Notice the Lake effect snows.
