Cold temperatures in May is so rare in Southeastern United States? It is pretty common here in South America at this late in spring, last year for example Mercedes,Uruguay at the same latitude as Atlanta registered a low of 2.6C/36F in November 19.

Nothing extreme there but Normal is low 70s now for you. I'll be enjoying the 60s for sure! Wanted it in March but hey, I'll take it in May! What are the chances June will have it too? lol




This morning minimums. They finally changed the scale to support above 70F temps. Philly suburbs in the 30s but Philly not below mid 40s. Same for NYC. Look at Bridgeport 41 while Danbury 31. I was at 40° so closer to BDR this morning.

One area of Long Island dipped into the 20s because of their sandy soil there and prime radiation cooling conditions.
