Went for a walk near the airport, but didn't realise until too late that my camera lens was smudged! These were the only decent pics, I'll have to take more tomorrow.

QF010 on it's way to Dubai, and then on to Failbourne. At present, it is flying over Belgium!

The typical state of our cherry trees at the moment; you might be able to make out the fruit starting to form.

You really don't like the UK much do you? Anyone who lives here would be able to tell you that Heathrow is colder at night than anywhere in inner London (though they may not have a weather station nearby).
I just can't find any reliable data that show how much warmer central London is. The "London Weather Centre" is sketch and despite what you say Heathrow (in April) is the in fact the second warmest station listed here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_of_London

However that page seems to lack any reliable stations from central London and I don't believe in anecdotal evidence. I guess what I'm really asking is where you get reliable climate data for the UK from? The Met Office website is a mess and Google is not helping.

I like the UK, just find her climate is overrated around these parts.

Nice photos BTW.

Greenwich is warmer, the stats on that page are for 1971-2000. The 81-10 average low in April is 5.9c.
Greenwich climate information - Met Office

Kew and Northolt are in frost hollows and Hampstead is elevated. St James's Park data is behind a paywall, probably has similar highs to the London Weather Centre but slightly cooler winter lows. Olympic Park has warmer minima than Heathrow, but has only been recording for 6 or 7 years. There are not enough weather stations in the 'normal' parts of London.

Interesting map, thank you. I have replied in the urban heat island thread.
