Nice! Maybe flurries down to 1500'? but that's too detailed to know right now. Wouldn't be anything unusual.

This is the coolest it's been since March 16.

Nice! Seems like you had a bigger cool down than I did given the time frame between our lows.

I'm curious as well. My low was 38.2 but the surface was 31-34

I placed a thermometer at the ground and it was showing 34° while my air temp was 38.2...

I was wondering why it wasn't 32 at the ground but then realized plastic doesn't radiate as well as the grass blades do, the grass blades with frost was 32° obviously (frozen liquid).

I saw thick frost on some lawns even at 8:40 am. Looks like all of Vermont reached freezing, even Burlington which is milder due to Lake Champlain

Wow at VT... My frost was gone by 8:45 with sun up.

Here are the lows for the day.

Sorted by lowest temp for state of Massachusetts. Just change state abbreviation in link for other states. (Air = Current temp)

And as usual, the Midwest/Ohio Valley gets the worst of the cold shots.

That’s colder than I got (46F), which was the coolest temp here since May 14 (also 46F).

Last time I got as low as 42F was on April 9.
