Thursday could be our first ice day. Let's hope so.

The exercise and whatever sunlight there is should warm them up nicely in any case.

Nah, it's just barely beginning to get a taste of goodness in it - snow and ice clear to the Gulf of Mexico until Easter would suit me just fine.

From what I've heard it just might be a true-blue early-onset winter this year, as opposed to a cold November which flips into the holiday season. We haven't seen this pattern in a while so it should be most refreshing if true.

Very impressive that there was still some snowpack left in Arkansas this late after the snow fell this early in the year.

Here comes the Cambium Express, straight from the North Pole just in time for Santa Claus to make his appearance at the Parade in NYC. Maybe he should bring Snow Miser in tow this year .

What a cold spell this has been. And it's going to get colder once the Thanksgiving warmup is over.

Who would of thought we would see an actual season snowfall total map like this in Mid November. Snow in south and even Northern Maine seeing the 2nd snowiest start to a season on record with 2 feet already.

Zoomed in

Curious about Northern Maine? Season Snow totals up to November 18th since 1939.
2018 is 2nd most. 2002 was 3rd. 2014 was 4th.

We had our first measurable snowfall this morning on the north side of Indianapolis! Woke up to a tenth to two tenths of an inch of snow covering the grass. Temperature was hovering in the 32-33 degree range so roads were clear. I can't imagine the snow lasts too long into the morning.

Today will be our first 50F high temperature in 6 days. Our average high right now is like 53F!

Thursday night might be our first teens. Some yrs it doesn't happen until January.

Keep these negative anomalies coming (hopefully for months on end), can't ask for more.
